I'm sure most of you by now have seen the amazing David Bowie mural painted by the talented Jimmy C in Brixton, either in person or on social media. I personally only discovered this artist recently, when fans used the mural to pay tribute after the unfortunate passing of the worlds beloved David Bowie.
Seeing the mural in person was exciting for me, there is something about street art that is so raw and personal. You can get up close and experience the artist's work and really appreciate the piece for what it is. I have seen and loved many street art pieces but this artists work is really something different, his unique drip painting style is very distinctive and for me really adds life to his work.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that the David Bowie mural was still in fantastic condition, especially seeing as it was first created back in 2013, this just goes to show that the love for art is still alive and hopefully will continue for generations to come.
Taking this trip to Brixton gave me the motivation to travel more while living in London. This bustling city is filled with so many wonders and hidden treasures, so who knows what I will discover!
